Footpath, Hiking & Walking Guide Map - Parrett Trail - Part 1
The River Parrett is the main drainage for Somerset Levels having its source near Chedington and flowing west before issuing into the Bristol Channel near Burnham on Sea. The trail which is 50 Miles long, follows the course of the Parrett, in the most. Ham Hill an Iron Age Hillfort, Langport, Stoke St Gregory renowned for basket making, Athelney famous for King Alfred and Burrow Mump.
Zigzag maps come in a concertina strip format, hence their name, and with 200 cm of mapping can follow a long distance footpath at a scale of 1:16 000 for up to 30 miles (depending on the wiggles). All maps are made for convenience, you only need to unfold 2 panels at a time and you can keep on flipping over to follow the path. They are laminated for weatherproofing and when folded will still fit a pocket.
